Surprising 5th NPO Niergnies, 6 Hooymans birds in top16 NPO!!

A big surprise for us this past weekend. We won the 1st of the club against 668 youngsters and also took a teletext score with the 5th NPO Niergnies against 4,849 pigeons! And that with a pigeon that was only in the basket for the third time. After a false start on Asse Zellik (125km) (youngsters-programme), we have only given our young team last week on Asse Zellik (late tour programme). We flew a few top pigeons in the region and thought: we put the early youngsters back on the young pigeon programme. There would be flown from Niergnies (235 km) last Saturday, the step of 110km we dared to do with the expected wind (Southwest).

No sooner said than done. So 112 early young man basketed at Niergnies who got the freedom there on August 25 at 10:15.
Mario was still on the phone when the first pigeon arrived at 12:44 and flew in 1 line: 12:44:04, speed 1563mpm. It was then a few minutes before the next 10 pigeons arrived, which kept circling until 12:49 and lost hundreds of prizes. The result was not good, but given the little experience of the boy, who had to compete against youngsters with more experience, we can be satisfied. Also only a single pigeon stayed behind so we are very content.

In Division 7 against 4,849 pigeons we take 33 prizes from 112 youngsters. We start with the 5th and that was good for teletext:

What makes it extra nice for us is that on the pitches 7-9-10-11-16 also Hooymans pigeons are classified.

So at the top16 of the NPO competition of 4,849 pigeons there are no less than 6 Hooymans pigeons in 3 different lofts!!

In our own loft the NL18-5002318 was our first pigeon by far.
The 318 was last week also with our earliest pigeons and then won the 18th Asse Zellik from 1.000 pigeons.
He is bred from a combination of our current top lines.
The father is “388 of 2013” a son of “Harry” coupled against “Daughter Hilde”.
His sister breeds the 1st National Ace Pigeon at Poelstra & Zonen from Utrecht and this was a super pigeon with 1st titles in various competitions.
Himself is the “388” grandfather of 1st and 5th National Agen Yearlings at Batenburg – vd Merwe.
The mother of the 5th NPO is a late youngster of 2017, bred out of “Blue Brave” x “Dreameye Harry”.
Both super pigeons from team member Christian van de Wetering and now promising breeders in the Hooymans breeding lofts.
Dreameye Harry won the 1st Quievrain of 11,337 pigeons with 30 degrees and head wind (she was the only one to reach 1,100 mpm) and she is a full sister of “New Harry”, so from the top pair “Beauty Harry x Stareye”.
