Jan Hooymans, the proud new owner of “Olympic Magnum”

This superhen, we recently bought at EPW, became 1st Olympiadbird of the Netherlands 2016 at long Distance. She won 4 times Teletext, top10 NPO, but also she have 2 regional victories at short & middle distance! What an allround supercrack!
Below a short report written by EPW about our new purchase:
Last week, during the ‘EPW auction of the year’, fanciers from all over the world had the chance to become the owner of one of the remarkable pigeons of the successful D.&P. Soepboer loft. Although most pigeons found a new home in China, the Star of the Auction, Olympic Magnum, stayed on Dutch soil. Dutch fancier Jan Hooymans had his eye on this pigeon – the 1. Nat. Olympiad Pigeon NL Brussels 2017 – for a long time. At the end of the final auction day Jan was the fancier with the highest bid. This week the EPW team visited Kerkdriel to hand over Olympic Magnum to its new and proud owner.
Jan Hooymans: “I’m very pleased to add this special pigeon to my pigeon collection. Personally I think this is one of the best pigeons of the Dutch skies, during the last couple of years! The bird won so many prizes and she also looks very beautiful when you hold her in your hands. Perfectly build! Besides, I know the strain (‘Janny’, the grandmother to Olympic Magnum is original Jan Hooymans), so I know what these birds are capable of.” Do you already have a cock for Olympic Magnum? Jan: “Yes, I think she will become the new partner of a brother to Harry. I think this will be a great match!”

About the pedigree of Olympic Magnum: At fatherside you will find top pigeons from Alwin Petrie and Combinatie Mantel. At motherside you will find Koopman and Hooymans lines.
The mother of Olympic Magnum is bred from an original Jan Hooymans hen named “Janny”. She is bred from “Janos” (direct son Dirkje) , paired to “Anky” (5. NPO Blois winner and granddaughter Jonge Bliksem).
