The dentist from Reeuwijk, Willem de Bruijn, shows his skills and craftsmanship once again on the NPO flight for young pigeons from Fontenay.
The 467 kilometer final flight was flown under beautiful weather conditions in sections 1-5-6, a nice initiative of cooperation by these three departments. In total, no less than 17,409 pigeons competed with each other. On their way the wind was from northern directions. The “Bont Favorite”, the 17/230 from Willem arrived with 1317 meters per minute and with this speed she didn’t only won the 1st NPO in Division 5 but was also the fastest of the three divisions together (17.409 birds!)
The mother of the 1st NPO winner is “Princess Harry”. She was a deserved flyer with 11th NPO Vierzon among 11,506 pigeons. “Princess Harry” is a granddaughter of “Harry” and “Laatje 56” (sister Harry and herself winner of 2nd and 12th NPO).
