The race of Niergnies

After a calm weekend, our young birds could go for it again last Saturday. We played 87 pigeons in the race from Niergnies, a flight of 150 km. They flew not early, however 19 birds won prizes.

The race from Niergnies was the fourth competition for our young birds. Last week they were basketed, but finally the race was cancelled due to the bad weather. Too bad, but still an instructive experience. They learned to survive in a basket for a couple of days.

Of course we hoped that our young birds would have flown earlier on Saturday, but we are happy that most of them are back at home. They still have to do three races, whereby they will gain enough experience for the next season!
