Granddaughter “New Harry” wins 4th NPO at heavy race from Orleans

At the sale of Golden Ten (De Duif), autumn 2016, the very first child of “New Harry”, bred by Jan Hooymans, was sold. This beautiful hen, NL16-1663953, was bought by Poelstra & Zonen from Utrecht after a strong bidding battle for an astronomical prize.

These top fanciers (including 1st National Ace pigeon Middle Distance NPO with granddaughter Harry) saw in the “Daughter New Harry” a potential top breeder, and barely a year and a half after purchase they prove their equal: the NL17-1087086, a direct yearling daughter of their purchased “Daughter New Harry” won the 1st of the club (14mpm lead) against 244 pigeons and the 4th NPO ORLEANS against 5,228 pigeons last Saturday on the very heavy One Day Long distance race Orleans (515km).

The craftsmanship and the pigeon feeling of the Poelstra men ensured that they paired a beautiful cock (line Blauwe Brouwers) against the NL16-1663953 “Daughter New Harry”, which immediately produced this beautiful performance on a very tough long distance race.

Also from other Hooymans pigeons owned by Poelstra, crossed against their tough Blauwe Brouwers line, very early pigeons arrived last Saturday! We are very curious what we will hear more of these toppers this season.
