Son “New Harry” in front at first Middle Distance race

We have already arrived at the middle distance races. Two more weeks and the first long distance race is a fact.
Last Saturday, May 12, we flew Nanteuil, for us 345 kilometers, with basketting on Thursday (so 2 ​​nights basket).

At 7:30 there was already unloaded with a quiet breeze from the southeast.
In the total department there were almost 16,000 pigeons in competition, in our Region C 3.607 pigeons.
We ourselves had 143 pigeons in the race.

The first pigeon, a blue cock, arrived at 11:35 and sprinted straight into the cock loft.
It was a yearling, directly from “New Harry”.
A second and a half later, numbers 2 and 3 followed, also cocks (son Alexia and grandson New Harry).
Number 4 was a hen as well as number 6.
The speed of our first pigeon was 1406 meters per minute and judging from the reporting via the app, this did not seem to be a wrong pigeon in the Region. The pigeons also finished well, despite the not favorable southeast wind. In more than 20 minutes, half of our pigeons are home again. On Saturday evening we only miss a few pigeons.

32 birds won 1:10.
28 from 62 hens winning their prize. 41 from 81 cocks winning their prize.

In proportion the cocks were slightly better, but especially the earlier pigeons were many cocks. So there is still work to be done to get the hens a little better.

Our second and third pigeons arrived simultaneously.
The NL17-1410503 is the 2nd pigeon on the regional results.
This is a cock directly from “Alexia” (sister Harry) coupled with “Dolce Beauty” (Pieter Veenstra).

The third pigeon is NL17-1410640, a blue cock.
His father comes from “Brother Armani x Alexia” (breeding together with Comb. Mantel).
His mother comes from “New Harry x Olympic Cape” (also breeding together with Comb. Mantel).
