Earlier we announced already in “Good news from England” that the pigeons we bred for John Crehan produce nice results. Yesterday we received again good news from England: also in Algarve John’s contributing pigeons, directly bred from Hooymans pigeons, fly pretty well!
Last Tuesday the 7th training of the Algarve race took place in Castro Verde. This training comprised a 60 km flight and no less than 3584 pigeons. Amber, played by team Manchester Maestros-B, came in with an average speed of 1,220 mpm, by which she arrived 15th in the record. This raises hopes for the official race in September!
Below the record of the training:
In 2015 John bred his topper Amber out of 2 Hooymans pigeons: 9494 x 9510. So, she is a grandchild of “New Herman” x “Proper Duivinneke” from father’s side and “Grandson Harry” x “Daughter Davinci” from mother’s side. Amber indicates that the genes can be forwarded pretty well by breeding.
