Olympic Magnum found a new loft in Kerkdriel!

Jan Hooymans, de trotse nieuwe eigenaar van “Olympic Magnum”

We melden u met trots dat de superduivin “Olympic Magnum” van D & P Soepboer ons kweekhok komt versterken. Deze superduivin, die we onlangs op EPW kochten, werd 1e Olympiadeduif Nederland Long Distance in 2016. Ze won 4x teletekst, maar ook op een vitesse en een midfondvlucht wint ze een 1e prijs regionaal. Wat een superduif!

Hieronder, een engelstalig verslag door EPW, over de aankoop van onze nieuwe aanwinst:

Last week, during the ‘EPW auction of the year’, fanciers from all over the world had the chance to become the owner of one of the remarkable pigeons of the successful D.&P. Soepboer loft. Although most pigeons found a new home in China, the Star of the Auction, Olympic Magnum, stayed on Dutch soil. Dutch fancier Jan Hooymans had his eye on this pigeon – the 1. Nat. Olympiad Pigeon NL Brussels 2017 – for a long time. At the end of the final auction day Jan was the fancier with the highest bid. This week the EPW team visited Kerkdriel to hand over Olympic Magnum to its new and proud owner.

Jan Hooymans: “I’m very pleased to add this special pigeon to my pigeon collection. Personally I think this is one of the best pigeons of the Dutch skies, during the last couple of years! The bird won so many prizes and she also looks very beautiful when you hold her in your hands. Perfectly build! Besides, I know the strain (‘Janny’, the grandmother to Olympic Magnum is original Jan Hooymans), so I know what these birds are capable of.” Do you already have a cock for Olympic Magnum? Jan: “Yes, I think she will become the new partner of a brother to Harry. I think this will be a great match!”

The EPW team wishes Jan Hooymans all the best for the future, we hope that the offspring of Olympic Magnum will bring him great victories!

Aan moederskant Koopman en Hooymans. De moeder van Olympic Magnum is gekweekt uit een rechtstreekse Hooymans duivin, genaamd “Janny”,
Zij is gekweekt uit “Janos” (directe zoon van Dirkje!) gekoppeld aan “Anky” (5e NPO Blois en kleindochter Jonge Bliksem !).
